CORONAVIRUS GUEST INFO

As you can no doubt imagine Coronavirus has confronted us with a number of cottage cleaning challenges, which are being embraced, to ensure we and all our guests are kept safe. This includes the use of new antiviral cleaning products and an even more rigorous laundering and cleaning regime.

We are therefore asking all our guests for support to help keep everyone protected and ask for some understanding. The key aspects which could affect you are as follows:

A. PLEASE CHECK WITH ALL YOUR PARTY S TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE WELL BEFORE YOU SET OFF.
Please let us know in advance if any member of your group is either suffering from or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19. In the event that they are please ask them, and anyone else in your party that has met with them in the last two weeks to self isolate at home.

If you need to postpone your booking due to self isolation - we are happy to provide a credit note or fully refund any money which you have already paid.

B. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Please do not arrive earlier than 5 pm or leave after 9 am; this to facilitate our additional antiviral cleaning when cottage change overs are undertaken.

The key to your cottage will be left in its door.

C. HAND WASH AND CLEANING EQUIPMENT
Sanitising hand wash, antiviral surface cleaner, cloths and gloves will be provided.
Please supply your own hand sanitising gel and anything else which you may consider to be appropriate.

D. COTTAGES DECLUTTERED
Cottages have been decluttered. This is so we can clean every item in the cottage between bookings.
Crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchen utensils have been reduced to the bare minimum.  Please bring whatever items may be required if any special culinary delights are to be attempted.

Similarly all DVD's, books, novels, magazines, leaflets, games together with cushions and throws have been removed for the time being.

In addition we will no longer provide basic cottage supplies (I.E. salt, pepper, tea bags, coffee and sugar etc) until further notice.

E. ADDITIONAL DUVETS AND PILLOWS
We still provide extra bedding, but all spare duvets, blankets and pillows are now sealed in clear plastic coverings. If used please ensure that they are placed with the other items of bed linen for washing (item f).

F. BEDDING / LAUNDRY
To reduce the risk of either of us getting infected - Please can you strip all beds of the following before you leave and place them in the blue holdall (with used towels) that will be provided for that purpose. Duvet covers, pillow cases and sheets (but not any of the protective covers).

G. CROCKERY/CUTLERY
Ensure all used crockery/cutlery is placed in the dishwasher and that it is switched on (normal wash cycle - tablets provided).

H. WASTE REMOVAL
Remove all bin bags containing general waste from the cottage and place them in the large wheeled garbage container which will be found in the car park area. Recycle using the containers provided.

I. GENERAL CLEANLINESS AND WHEN YOU LEAVE
Please leave the cottage as clean as possible and it would be very helpful, weather conditions permitting, if you could open all of the windows.

J. LAUNDRY ROOM
Take care if use is to be made of the communal laundry room. Only one person should enter this facility at a time. Disinfectant spray and sanitiser will be supplied so that hard surfaces can be cleaned before the room is vacated.

K. PLAYGROUND AND KIDS TOYS
The playground area is to remain open and it will be disinfected as far as is practical on a daily basis; this facility to be used at your own risk. However all ride-on toys will be locked away.

L. LOCKED DRAWERS
A number of cupboards and drawers have been secured shut to store items tidied away. Please do not open them.

We have an expectation that all current HMG protocols will be observed but the way in which these are interpreted within your own cottage group is of course up to you.

Our overriding priority in trying to ensure that everyone has an excellent holiday is the safety of all our guests and ourselves. Your understanding of the measures which we have implemented in attempting to achieve that goal is very much appreciated.
